Placements differ by where you live, because the administration, the duration and the eligibility differ.
India
Volunteering and internships in IndiaOpen to applicants aged 13 and over, subject to the consent and reference requirements set out on the Volunteer page →.
Choose the Veterinary Track if you are a qualified veterinarian or a final-year veterinary student. Everyone else, including veterinary students in earlier years, joins the Applied Wildlife Management Track.
Internships (Veterinary or Applied Wildlife Management) run in fixed blocks of 7, 14, 21 or 28 days. General volunteering is flexible - tell us the days of the week you are usually free, and we will be in touch when help is needed on those days.
Participation is not charged. Residential volunteers pay for accommodation, food and utilities.
Awarded for completing your fixed placement block (7, 14, 21 or 28 days). Issued at RESQ's discretion.

- Statement of purpose, briefly, on why you wish to join CAMP
- Identity proof
- Educational documents, for Veterinary Track applicants
- Parental or guardian consent, if you are under 18
- A reference from a RESQ team member, if you are 13 to 15
- Institutional requirements, if you are an intern: hours, competencies, supervisor report, deadline
- Vaccination certificates: anti-rabies pre-exposure prophylaxis, and tetanus
- Physical and mental fitness declaration
- Legal and ethical eligibility declaration — no pending wildlife-related complaints, legal cases or violations with the Forest Department or any lawful authority, and no criminal record or ongoing criminal proceedings of any kind
- Media consent and release
Outside India
International placements, in partnership with Worldwide VetsAll international placements at RESQ are arranged in partnership with Worldwide Vets.
You must be 18 or over. This is a condition of the arrangements under which international placements operate, and we are not able to make individual allowances. We are sorry to disappoint anyone younger, and we hope you will come back to us when you are older.
Fixed blocks of 7, 14, 21 or 28 days.

Residential and non-residential placements are available. Fees, accommodation, dates, pre-arrival information and visa assistance are administered by Worldwide Vets under their terms.
